JOB DESCRIPTION

Opportunity description:

  • An opportunity to learn more specialist skills
  • Performing a variety of administration, office support and customer services within various teams within a division
  • Deliver a high-quality visitor service in welcoming & reception, ushering, bar sales service, light cleaning and kitchen duties, and Front of House (FOH) service as required for events held in a competent, timely and customer-focused manner provided in a clean, safe and friendly environment
  • Point of contact for venue enquiries
  • Assist internal & external users present best possible events
  • Perform manual handling tasks and to negotiate auditorium stairs frequently when assisting members
  • Operating event management booking & ticketing system-Arts Precincts
  • Assist in the delivery of the program of events and activities.
  • Providing basic administrative support to the Presenter service team
  • Quality compliance, risk management
  • Document preparation & management, database management.

Starting ASAP – Fulltime 38 hrs per week

National Training Wage: $18.13 per hour

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a community, cultural, performing arts, hospitality, or entertainment industry venue
  • Customer service skills
  • Cash handling and operating cash register
  • Sound knowledge of the responsible service of alcohol
  • Commitment to safe working practices and procedures
  • Physical fitness
  • Must have an eye for detail, problem-solving skills, Flexible approach, high motivation, team player, positive attitude, and willingness to learn
  • Another language other than English is a bonus
  • Basic computer literacy and communications skills (both written & verbal)
  • No previous certificate 3 qualification (unless part of VCAL and you will need to provide evidence)
  • Must be Australian or NZ citizen or permanent resident

This is a traineeship only for a person aged between 15-24 y/o. Willing to commit to the duration of 12 months traineeship
