THE OPPORTUNITY


headspace Melton is seeking an Administration Officer that is highly organised with strong communication skills and experience working in a health service or similar environment to join our multi-disciplinary team. The position is integral to the overall functioning and delivery of mental health and wellbeing services to young people and their families and carers.

THE ROLE AND YOUR IMPACT


Part-time (0.8 FTE) position available until 30 June 2022, with opportunity for further employment.

Working within a positive workplace culture, the Administration Officer will support the Practice Manager and work closely with the Clinical Services Manager to deliver effective administrative functions, including, but limited to:

  • Day to day management of administrative processes
  • Guide, support and supervise reception staff including reception backfill as required
  • Coordinate and ensure maintenance of appointment systems, referrals and waiting lists
  • Processing Medicare billings and other payments, and ensure all records financial records are maintained accurately
  • Establish and maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records
  • Induction and orientation of new staff


SALARY AND BENEFITS

Depending on your skills and experience, a salary of $55,822 p.a. (pro-rata) is offered plus superannuation and access to generous NFP salary packaging.

ABOUT YOU


Essential to this role and to be considered:

  • Previous administration experience working in a health service or similar environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability to consult, liaise, and negotiate with young people, carers, family members, health and other professionals.
  • Demonstrates initiative, is motivated and enthusiastic.
  • Demonstrate sound problem solving skills and an ability to identify risks and respond accordingly in the work environment.
  • Ability to operate with minimal supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to prioritise own work and ensure targets are achieved in a complex and demanding environment.
  • Ability to review systems for operational efficiency and control.
