The Office of Projects Victoria (OPV) was established in an Administrative Office within the Department of Treasury and Finance. OPV plays a key role in overseeing the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects in Victoria. The Victorian Chief Engineer (VCE) will ensure Victoria has the relevant engineering advice and skills required to deliver our major infrastructure projects.

About the role

  • Assist the incoming Victorian Chief Engineer with set up of stakeholder meetings and provide ongoing management of the VCE diary and inbox as well as meeting papers and research as required
  • Provide assistance to the Executive Assistant to the CEO as required and provide support to the OPV Leadership team and organising all admin for work group meetings and other functions
  • Manage workflow of the VCE and Engineering team such as preparing and reviewing of memos, ministerial briefs and correspondence
  • Manage finance, HR and departmental coordination for Engineering Team and wider OPV unit
  • Assist with the coordination and implementation of projects, events, activities and tasks to assist the wider team

About you

To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate the following:

  • Extensive background and experience working in an executive role, liaising with key stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain systems and financial records (using Fin Cloud), including processing invoices
  • The ability to coordinate onboarding and offboarding and other aspects of HR administration
  • Advanced MS Office, computing skills and knowledge of cloud-based accounting systems
