Legal Asssitant - Statutory Insurance

About the role and team

We currently have an opportunity for a Legal Assistant to join our Statutory Insurance Victoria team on a 14 month contract. The role will provide administrative support by way of managing and opening all incoming files in an efficient and effective manner for the Statutory Insurance Victoria team.

Our Statutory Insurance Victoria team has approximately 55 people and continues to grow.

This role can be full time or part time (four days per week).


You will be responsible for;

Manage and open all incoming files.
Download new files from online portal.
Liaise with clients to ensure all new files are registered.
Process provider invoices.
Sort incoming team mail.
Manage the medical provider block booking system.
Various weekly reporting requirements.
Provide terms of settlement to client.
Data entry.
Manage and log incoming employer and insurer files.

We would like to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience;

One year of experience as a legal assistant or experience in a similar role.
Intermediate IT skills.
Data entry experience.
Strong attention to detail, organisation skills, ability to plan and prioritise effectively.
Ability to multi task and meet deadlines.
Proactive and takes initiative.
Ability to work autonomously and interact in a team environment.
Works well under pressure and with a high volume workload.
