Star Health is looking to recruit a full-time, highly motivated and experienced GP receptionist for our GP program on a full-time basis until May 2022 with a strong view for the role to extend beyond that.

Reporting to the Service Access Coordinator you will be working between reception and our back-of-house phone team to help ensure our clients receive the best customer service and health outcomes. You will provide clear and up-to-date advice around appointments, the associated fees and policies while supporting our Doctors to deliver a five-star service to our community and clients

Working primarily from our South Melbourne clinic, this is a great opportunity to work in a professional and supportive team-based environment alongside your team and experienced GPs, Nurses, Registrars and Allied Health clinicians.

Typical duties include:
  • Meeting and greeting patients at reception
  • Customer service and supporting our GP phone line
  • Appointment book/diary management
  • Triaging Patients
  • Invoicing / Patient Accounts
  • Provide high-level support to the practitioners and clinical team
  • Administration support and duties
Our ideal candidate will:
  • Have the ability to work harmoniously with your colleagues with a positive attitude.
  • Be organized, able to manage time and prioritize effectively
  • Be dynamic, able to suggest and implement remedies and improvements, with Motivation to up skill
  • Have experience using Pracsoft, Medical Director or other Health client management systems
  • Embody and represent the values of StarHealth to our community
Ideally, you will possess:
  • Experience in GP reception, administration & GP specific client management systems (MD, Pracsoft etc).
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and with your team.
  • Excellent knowledge of Customer Service principles
  • A clear understanding of Health Industry Privacy Standards & Customer Service
