Job Description

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be supporting the finance team, in so performing the following responsibilities:

    • Ensures correct transaction coding
    • Prepares and posts of monthly payroll journals
    • Update the monthly fixed asset register
    • Prepares and posts month-end accruals
    • Posts month-end manual journals
    • Ensures bank statements are reconciled
    • Prepares balance sheet reconciliations and updates schedules
    • Ensures the accuracy of allocation of costs captured
    • Prepares the internal management reports
    • Prepares and lodges the monthly payroll tax calculations.
    • Ensures integrity of financial reporting and accounting records
    • Prepares the hire purchase and lease schedules with guidance from the Finance Manager.
    • Assists with year-end statutory reporting.
    • Prepares ad-hoc financial reports when necessary with guidance from the Finance Manager.
  • Liaise with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable to tie up the financial reporting.
  • Other ad-hoc duties as required

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate for this role will have the below experience:

    • Relevant degree (Commerce, Accounting or Business preferable).
    • Basic knowledge of accounting concepts including accruals and prepayments.
    • Experience using Xero will be highly regarded.
    • High attention to timeliness, accuracy and detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
