    Your new role

    As a casual Dental Assistant you will be responsible for:

    • Provide a high level of clinical chair side assistance in both clinical and outreach settings, contributing to dental operator efficiencies
    • Assist with accurate dental charting into Titanium
    • Undertake reprocessing and sterilisation duties in accordance with the relevant standards and Merri Health policies and procedures.
    • Provide an environment that is safe, comfortable and non-threatening to the client and other staff
    • Adhere to Infection Control practice as outlined in the Infection Control Policy, including safe and efficient changeovers and completion of daily and weekly surgery tasks.

    What you’ll need to succeed

    To be successful with Merri you will go above and beyond to achieve great results for our clients, the organisation and yourself. We’re looking for individuals with:

    • A Certificate III in Dental Assisting
    • Minimum of 2 years Dental Assisting Experience
    • Excellent verbal communication skills
    • Demonstrated ability to work cohesively in a multi-disciplinary team environment
    • Good time management skills
    • A commitment to customer service excellence and continuous quality improvement
    • Preferably speak a second language
