Il Bacaro, an authentic Venetian restaurant, specialising in refined, fine-dining requires a Junior Sous Chef to join the dynamic team. The restaurant, which operates 6-days a week for lunch and dinner from 12pm till late, boasts a regular and increasing clientele. Il Bacaro offers a delicious experience, serving Italian, Venetian inspired cuisine using high quality artisan products, with a wide selection of Italian wine and alcohol.
The successful Junior Sous Chef will be responsible for:
- Assistance with menu development alongside the senior Sous and Head Chef;
- Cooking exquisite and high quality Italian food;
- Assistance with menu costings;
- Communicating with restaurant management and front of house staff;
- Working as part of a team in a busy, commercial kitchen.
To fill the position, the ideal Applicant must have a passion for Italian cooking, provide meals that go over and above to satisfy customers and have the following:
- A Diploma of Hospitality, inclusive of a Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery; or equivalent qualifications. Extensive experience of 3-years in a similar or related role will be considered in lieu of formal qualifications; and
- No less than 2-years employment experience.
