Your new team

The Diabetes Education team within the Cardiovascular, Renal and Endocrine Service Division at Melbourne Health takes great pride in the commitment to quality care provision for individuals with diabetes. Diabetes Education is a major element of the Diabetes and Endocrinology Department, which provides clinical care to inpatients and outpatients with diabetes and other endocrine disorders across The Royal Melbourne Hospital City Campus

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a high level of diabetes education and management clinical skills and capabilities together with extensive communication and interpersonal skills.

Your success in this role, will be in your ability to

The role has a significant clinical component together with responsibilities for diabetes management education and training for other health professionals, diabetes research and contributing to diabetes service development. The successful applicant will work collaboratively with the Diabetes multidisciplinary team and stakeholders, contribute to projects for diabetes service planning and delivery and diabetes research at Melbourne Health.

Your Contribution

  • Credentialed as a Diabetes Educator with the Australian Diabetes Educators Association (or working towards)

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and practice collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary health care team

  • Demonstrated provision of high quality patient care

  • Extensive clinical experience within the area of responsibility

  • High motivation and willingness to learn
