About the Role:

To provide support to our Underwriters by acting on their instructions and completing all administrative tasks within service time frames and quality standards associated with new business applications, policy renewals and/or change in policy requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform in accordance with pre-defined processes with high level customer service
  • Ensure all appropriate support and measures are taken for bookings to be registered within the required time frames, and to the required quality standard applying right first-time principle
  • Act as first point of contact for processing of complex business
  • Prepare underwriting files for both renewal and new business, including inputting data into underwriting systems, compiling market research, completing raters and referral write ups
  • Liaise with brokers and internal departments for credit control, claims and risk information
  • Chasing brokers for outstanding binding instructions or subjectivities
  • Assist in the coordination of multinational placements, including determining local coverage requirements, completing country questionnaires and quote templates, review of Local Fronted Wording and releasing to the broker
  • Assisting with the reconciliation of aged finance items
  • Ensure underwriting files are complete and fulfil audit requirement, managing the transition of policies into the National Underwriting Centre (NUC)
  • Ensure policy tracking/workflow tools are accurate and reflect current status of policy at all times

About you:

  • Competent with Microsoft Suite with excellent general computer literacy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both in verbal and written forms
  • Strong customer service skills and customer centric attitude
  • Refined problem resolution and decision-making skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the desire to deliver and improve quality
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as on own initiative
  • Proven ability to work within tight deadlines/SLA's
  • Well-developed and refined analytical and organisational skills
