Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:

  • Support merchandise planning operations in providing analysis, insights and delivering recommended actions to achieve the business target for eCom channel.

    Manage inventory levels to achieve inventory targets, monitor the inventory flow to drive business strategy, define business opportunities and risks. Weekly and monthly inventory reports including the eCom merchandise plan.

    Work cross functionally with key stakeholders including Buying, Finance, Business Planning and Demand Planning, making recommendations derived from data-based insights.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory:
    • Manage eCom channel inventory by monitoring stock in/stock out, sales and rolling inventory forecast, balance all KPIs with company targets including discounts, margin, stock turns and week covers.
    • Review and monitor receipt plan and excess inventory flow and partner with other functions such as Business Planning, Finance and the eCom Operations team to implement recommended changes.
    • Manage key core flow lines across the business with the Buying team.
    • Make recommendations to the Buying Manager on monthly category budget phasing.
    • Perform article sizing on seasonal forecasts for order placement with Purchasing.
  • Sales and Reporting:
    • Manage and monitor the sales plan at a monthly and daily level, according to the performance and promotion cadence.
    • Report on product sell-through for priority business launches.
    • Review business performance weekly with all KPIs.
    • Review promotion cadence on a monthly/weekly basis.
    • Recommend actions based on insights from performance and promotion reporting.

    Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
    Minimum 1 year’s experience in a merchandising or planning environment
