The Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation (VCGLR) is the independent statutory authority that administers Victoria's gambling and liquor laws. The opportunity

VCGLR is supporting the Government's response to the COVID-19 pandemic by engaging resources to enforce compliance with the Public Health and Wellbeing Act 2008 (PH&W Act) and associated directions/regulations at licensed premises. This Public Health team operates within the Compliance division.

Reporting to the Intelligence Analyst, Public Health, this role is responsible for the administrative support and data entry services for the Public Health team. The role specifically focuses on the data entry of inspections. This includes ensuring the VCGLR's administrative databases (LaGIS and TRIM) and filing systems are maintained as required and correspondence is effectively managed.

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate would be a person who has excellent communication skills with experience in general administration, data entry and a knowledge of word processing, databases and other record management software (preferably in a government environment).

Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for the data entry of inspection into appropriate databases and filing systems
  • Liaise with Team Leaders regarding work required for the respective teams
  • Provide general administration support when required
  • Maintain divisional administrative filing systems, including registering of internal and external documentation and filing.
  • Maintain the various databases related to Public Health inspections within the Compliance division
  • Other duties as directed.
