The Role

You will be the go-to person for assistance with any task in a ‘truly integrated’ production team. This role is perfect for someone with a can-do attitude and strong problem-solving abilities. Reporting to the Senior Producer, the Associate Producer will be an essential resource in running productions from concept development to dispatch across various disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management of a number of projects across multiple disciplines, with on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Collaborate with the Integrated Producer on briefs, cost estimations and project timelines.
  • Champion Integrated Production processes and workflows.
  • Internal management of projects through various agency departments and external suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain constructive relationships within all departments to ensure communication is clear and expectations are mutually understood.
  • General day to day agency production support which can include assisting content/creatives to research information, talent contracts, stock or music for pre- production or pitches, production related paperwork, or client presentation materials.
  • Managing agency hours on production jobs – particularly production & creative hours.
  • Housekeeping – keeping the edit suite in a presentable state (especially for creative & client presentations).
  • Responsible for managing Talent/Music/Footage/Photography rollovers across all clients.
  • Ensuring job reconciliation reports are complete and filed.
  • Asset management and maintain hard drives for filing/edit projects.
  • When required, organise TV/Radio material dispatches to stations, including organising closed captioning. This includes follow up and confirmation of delivery to stations.

Required Experience/Skills/Capabilities
  • 1 year + experience in a similar role
  • Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Basic understanding of project management tools would be an advantage
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Genuine interest in, and an understanding of, the integrated production process

  • Proven ability to create quality outputs including briefs, timelines, SOWs and estimates
  • Best practice project delivery methodologies are applied to all outputs and innovative delivery solutions are found to meet client requirements
  • Client and project risks are effectively managed and mitigated
  • Strong working relationships with all parties involved internally and externally
  • A commitment to understand new technical and operational developments in the production industry
