The Executive Assistant will provide high-level administrative support to members of the Senior Executive Service. 

The position is responsible for providing professional administrative, secretarial and research services to members of the Senior Executive Service (SES).

About the role:

  • Managing emails, appointments and preparing briefing materials.
  • Providing guidance, support and quality assurance to the staff at lower classification levels.
  • Assisting with maintaining risk management programs.
  • Maintaining a well-developed understanding of relevant legislation and policy frameworks.
  • Scheduling meetings, preparing reports and documents relating to committees and projects.
  • Organising travel arrangements and supporting official functions on behalf of the General Manager, and other agency staff as directed.
  • Identifying and contributing to the resolution of issues and problems as they arise.

About you:  

  • Strong organisation, administration and coordination skills in a busy office environment
  • Competency with IT systems 
  • Able to engage in negotiation if dealing with external providers 
  • Ability to manage confidential information
  • Ability to analyse information and make decisions
  • Previous experience in an Executive Assistant or similar support role
  • An understanding of, or lived experience with disability
  • Understanding and knowledge of disability and its impact on individuals.

This opportunity will be based in Melbourne, VIC
Hourly rate of $41.64 + Super
Full-time hours
6 month contract + potential option to extend
