We are currently looking to fill the role of Risk and Compliance Advisor, who will be responsible for identifying, assessing the strategic, professional and operational risks faced by the organisation.
This is a dynamic role and will provide the successful candidate with an exciting opportunity to be innovative, facilitate continuous organisational improvement, establish risk management processes, and shape and develop the role from the outset.

The focus of the role will be to work with the organisation's senior management team, as well as both internal and external stakeholders, to:

  • assist in the planning, development and implementation of comprehensive risk management programs including risk assessment and top-tier risk reporting processes;
  • monitor and audit compliance with the organisation's risk procedures and protocols;
  • elevate awareness and develop a "risk culture" throughout the organisation through reporting and communication of risks, exposures and compliance with policy in a timely manner to the appropriate forums;
  • provide training and establish effective communications;
  • provide appropriate resources for risk management; and
  • facilitate continual improvement and organisational enhancement.

To be considered, you will have:

  • tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline including and not limited to finance, commerce and law with post-graduate qualifications in business;
  • significant risk and compliance experience within the energy industry;
  • experience dealing with regulatory and/or compliance issues within the energy markets or other major company, as well as experience dealing with relevant regulators;
  • professional communication skills both oral and written as appropriate for communication across different levels of the organisation; and
  • strong analytical, organisation and relationship building skills.
