Customer Service role working in a Contact Centre environment

Is a well-known State Government department located in the heart of the CBD. They are well respected and due to recent change in legislation and laws are receiving a high number of enquires in their customer care team.

Your new role
Working in a contact centre environment dealing with high volume inbound call enquires which will be in relation to construction & general enquires about the industry. Some duties will include:

  • Responding appropriately to customers efficiently & accurately
  • Understanding government legislation and effectively communicating correct information to customers
  • Exercising initiative when obtaining information from and dealing with customers
  • Dealing effectively with enquiries and complaints from customers that may present with uncooperative, disruptive or abusive behaviour

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience working within a contact centre
  • Experience working in Local, State or Federal Government
  • Experience dealing with sensitive and complex matters in a professional manner
  • Proven customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Comfortable using 3 different types
